Does the upnp plug-in actually do anything?

Does the upnp plug-in actually do anything? nothing appears in it's windows and doesn't seem to make any difference if it's loaded or not?

If you are behind a router, it will try to forward the ports which need to be forwarded. If you are not behind a router, you can just unload it, you do not need it then.

am behind a router i understand whats it's for but i don't think it's working dunno?
if i click rescan i get Trying to find UPnP devices on the local network invlaid url ??

Can you post the relevant parts of your log file (~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/log) ?

doesn't list the upnp erro that appears in the log viewer plugin? if it's running should i not see some output on the upnp plugin screen?

If your router is detected, it will be listed. I would check the log when you exited KT. You can also send the whole log to me. (joris@ktorrent.org)

if ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/ contains a file named upnp_failure, can you also send it to me.
