/edit/
This "trick" didnt work... there must be something else that is wrong, atleast for me
\edit\
Is the /usr/lib/kde3 in ld path?

I have/had this problem on my FC5 can. i created the RPM, installed it, and so on.. i did the 'kbuildsycoca' thingy and no luck.

So, i tried to compile it, and manually install it, then it works :)

And i realise from the output, that it is adding /usr/lib/kde3 to ld...

It's not on by default on my system, i dont remeber how Arch has it with that... but check it up.... ;)

I will know for sure, if that trick works for me on my system :)

If you are not seeing the plugin config page, then you are still running the old version. If you go to Help -> About KTorrent you can see the version number.

I suggest you uninstall the previous version of KTorrent.
