Hi guys,

I dist-upgraded my kubuntu dapper distro with the kde 3.5.2 pre repo's.
I was forced to install KTorrent, otherwise i had todo it without kubuntu-desktop.
So i thought "well no problem i'll install SVN afterwards".

This worked ok.
The only problem now is that the update message in the announce string stays on 0 bytes all the time.

Since i update my KDE with KTorrent integrated and also because i don't see any bug report about this problem yet, i assume it's a local problem here.

I can't remove ktorrent because it will remove the whole kubuntu-desktop package.
Anyone with ideas on howto get around this problem? Am i the only person with stats problems at the moment? (current SVN)

I noticed this 0 bytes upload this morning and I notified George. It will be taken care of soon I hope.

Now, about your weird problem - I wasn't aware that KTorrent package is a part of kubuntu-desktop :) It's nice but can cause dependency problems. As a workaround your method is OK. So, just install any version of KT that is needed by kubuntu-desktop and then compile and install version from SVN which will overwrite all files previously installed. This should work.
