Opening a batch torrent remotely

Thu Apr 13, 2006 1:49 am
So today I ran across this torrent I wanted to download, and I logged back into my home machine via SSH as usual, set the display and ran...
Code: Select all
dcop ktorrent KTorrent openTorrent (url...)

Problem is, this never completes. My bet is that there is a big dialog box waiting on my home machine, which I will have to wait until I get home to press OK on.

Is there any way around this problem? Could the DCOP route for adding a download perhaps not pop up dialogs? It's inconvenient. :-)

LOL, maybe we should add an option to open a torrent and select all files

I have just added a openTorrentSilently dcop method, it doesn't ask for which files to download, it just downloads them all. You will need to have a default save location selected for this to work.

Awesome. :-)

(Don't know if I want to be downloading to /tmp though cade, if my computer reboots the data would vanish. ;-))
