ktorrent 1.2 crash

Sat May 20, 2006 10:02 am
Ktorrent 1.0 works fine in my box, bet ktorrent 1.2 stopped working - it`s crashing at startup. I am using up-to-date stable gentoo linux. I tried to delete all ktorrent-related stuff un my box but i doesn`t help. If I run ktorrent --debug i got this:
Code: Select all
$ ktorrent --debug
Bound to port 6881
Loading plugin searchplugin
Loading plugin infowidgetplugin
KCrash: Application 'ktorrent' crashing...
ERROR: Communication problem with ktorrent, it probably crashed.

It seems to crash at "infowidgetplugin". After removing "infowidgetplugin" from .kde/share/apps/ktorrent/plugins i got this:
Code: Select all
$ ktorrent --debug
Bound to port 6881
Loading plugin searchplugin
Showing KT
Yes, it works! But now i will try to open torrent file for download:
Code: Select all
$ Loading file /downloads/***.torrent
Encoding : UTF-8
Multi file torrent
Starting download
Doing tracker request to url : http://***.lv/****
KCrash: Application 'ktorrent' crashing...
KT crashed again...

Everthink about my system:
Code: Select all

Have you got a backtrace ?

And, have you tried running the newly release 2.0beta1 ?

No, i didn't tried it.

Code: Select all
This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the crash.

The backtrace isn't of much use, you should try 2.0beta1

I did "rm -rf ~/.kde3.5/share/apps/ktorrent ~/.kde3.5/share/config/ktorrentrc" and ktorrent started to work, but after finishing downloading file it crashes:

With this information I can't do much, I don't know where it crashes.

Could you compile with debugging information :

./configure --enable-debug=full
make
make install
