no plugins in beta 2

Sat May 20, 2006 1:02 pm
The plugin path apparently has changed. On 1.2 they used to be in /opt/kde3/lib/kde3 on my SuSEbox, now they're in /usr/lib/kde3. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Deps are solved. I cannot find a file where i can point to the right directory. Anybody any idea how to make the plugins visible and usable?

NB. Compiling the sources does not work.

Furthermore I'd like to thank all for a wonderful piece of software

Re .no plugins

Problem solved. I had created a .rpm from the downloaded .deb, which made the plugins drop in a false place for my SuSE.

This is how I solved it.
I downloaded and unpacked the sources. Logged in as root
Ran ./configure, which reported "Good".

NOT TRUE !!!

Just above it said something about gmp. I went to http://www.swox.com/gmp and downloaded, compiled and installed gmp. Reran ./configure and the remark about gmp was gone. Than ran make, make install and here we are:

ktorrent up and running including all the plugins. Cheers
