Installing 2.0 on gentoo

Sat May 20, 2006 6:10 pm
hi, i tried to install ktorrent 2.0 beta 1 from the source.
I use gentoo and kde 3.4x
I get an error when .configure as
Qt cannot be found.

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.3) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation!

I have /usr/qt/3/bin in my PATH.

I had previously got ktorrent 1.2 to install but that was from the ebuild. And Im not an expert as to figure out how to make an ebuild for 2.0beta1.

Any help would be appreciated.

Already in portage, just emerge --sync. You have to put ktorrent to /etc/portage/package.keywords and /etc/portage/package.unmask (hope you know how) and try to emerge.

that was quick, great! I'm doing a --sync now. I'm used to unmasking in portage to get the latest version etc. :)
many thanks,
Neil
