Hello,

can anyone tell me if it ist possible to run ktorrent on debian sarge ?
Haven't found any information about that, and the deb package for debian SID doesn't work (I have already tried that).
Does that mean that I have to upgrade my Debian installation ?
I found out that sid was the unstable version of debian and sid the testing, as far as i understand the codenames of debian, its better to use the testing version (sid) instead of etch !
Because etch would be more possible to crash and otherwise has no security updates !

I would be very happy to get some help.

yours simon

PS: Please excuse my poor english, i giving my best but its just not my native language.

I don't see why it shouldn't be possible, you would need a recent version of KDE (3.4 or later).

Compiling from source isn't difficult, the debian repositories probably will not have the 2.0beta1 release.
