I downloaded the ktorrent RPM for Suse 10 and tried to install it (I'm currently running version 1.2), but Yast told me that I don't have libc.so.6 and libexpat.so.1.

I used Yast to search for the files that provide these and it turns out that I *do* have them installed.

Is there anything I can do to get this installed correctly and let ktorrent find these files? Would it make any difference if I try compiling it?

EDIT: Just tried installing from source... and it worked. Hopefully if some other clueless person like me comes by with this same problem, this post will help!

Yeah you may try to install from source.The packager maybe linked KT against wrong libs.
