You mean by "stop and restarted ktorrent" that you've also updated ktorrent before continuing the download?

We fixed this bug a long time ago. Your data will still be there. You can just reimport it, should you have to remove the torrent.

Make backup of your ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent directory and then remove it. KT should be able to start without problems.

Now, just import your data from backup via PartFileImport plugin and you'll be fine.

Note, it would be better to upgrade to the lastest release, where this bug is fixed.

The beta version?
[EDIT] I just tried the beta, i get "ktorrent: error while loading shared libraries: libpng.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" so i got the libpng-1.2.10 slackware package, but im still getting the same error.

I backed up, removed, reinstalled and its working again :) but im not too sure how to use the partfileimport plugin. Its loaded i just dont know what to do from here.

Well you just select the torrent file and the data that goes with that torrent.
