How many seeds?

Wed May 31, 2006 5:30 pm
Hello,

I'm using the 2.0-beta1 of ktorrent, and have a question. I always leave a download seeding for other people after i've finished it. Normally 2 o 3 days more (and ratio over 1), but i want to be sure that more seeders persists after i leave seeding.

But when i seed a download after finish download it, i don't know if i am the only seeder.

For example, when the download goes 99,9% i see how many seeder there are. For example, 4. Once finished the download, and start seeding it, i don't see any more seeders. I always see something like "0 (any number)".

Have i explained? :-(

Thanks
George

When KT is seeding it automagically kills all connections with seeders, because when you are seeding they are useless. Why waste resources on seeders ? We have nothing to offer them, and they have nothing to offer us.

This could probably be solved with scraping as someone else also requested. That way we won't connect to the seeders but we'll have an overview on how many are there.

Still there are allways going to be 0 seeders when you are seeding.

Zero connected but there will be a number showing how many seeders are in swarm (like : 0(25) ), or I misunderstood something?

I'd like to also vote for this. I don't like having to go to the tracker's web site and check. Keeping the # of peers and seeds relatively correct is important.
