I'm sorry if this is terribly newbie of me. I'm new to any kind of torrent let alone ktorrent. I'm using KTorrent 1.0 as it was installed by a Vector Linux installation with KDE 3.4.2. I wasn't sure how to even start. I did a search and clicked on a link to an episode of "24". Instead of a download, I get:

This stuff continues for awhile. I didn't think the rest would be helpful to paste here.

I also checked the log file as I saw that recommended to others. Mine is empty.

You should upgrade, 1.0 is very old, KT has come a long way since then.
