So, is it possible for the Data Integrity Checker to get kTorrent to re-download the missing/corrupted chunks rather then have to download the entire torrent again?
As I've just pulled down a 5 gig torrent, I'd rather not experiment to find out.

Just to basically agree with everyone that has had this issue and fixed it... Use the latest developer build!
I was using 2.0.3 on Dapper, which was corrupting my downloads. I dloaded and built the latest Novemember (2.1.something) build and it worked like a charm! For newbs... To build in Dapper, make sure you have the following packages installed then follow the instructions on the ktorrent dload page: make gcc g++ (sudo apt-get install make gcc g++) <edit>Just as a side note, I was only getting corruption on large torrents (around 8GB or so).</edit> Regards, Jim

I am publishing debs for development snapshots, for Ubuntu Dapper and Edgy It's more sane than trying to compile and install it manually. |
