Everytime I try to download KNOPPIX_V5.0.1DVD-2006-06-01-DE KTorrent corrupts the download. I tried it twice.
Then I used another client and everything was good. Can someone confirm this? Qt: 3.3.6 KDE: 3.5.3 KTorrent: 2.0beta1 |

First I use 2.0beta1... But some downloads are broken...
I try current svn version. Result is same. After checking data integrity on 1 of my downloads found 42 chunk fails. After redownload these chunks, and next check data integrity found 50(!) failed chunks... ![]() When these torrents downloads first time I try to disable/enable some files of packages... May be this my activity cause problems? But why I cannot redownload properly?!? Very strange: I delete and import one of downloads. To complete it needs 100 chunks (4.0 MB each). When 98 chunks loaded ktorrent-svn (updated from svn today) show me than speed is 10.356,2 KB/s, and loads these 2 chunks more than minute!!! But, 2 * 4.0MB / 10 MB/s < 1 second!!! |

Something must be going wrong when we write to the disk, because the hash of each chunk gets checked after it's downloaded, if that is OK it is written to disk. Due to some other things I haven't had much time yet to check it out this bug, but now I have some more time. If you have a small torrent which shows this bug, can you send it to me ? A DVD takes a while to download. |

I think, this problem occurs only when I try to change number of files in download.
I can send torrent. But I think that it cannot help you because tracker and seeders only in my provider's private network. This torrent for HDTV film with additional sound tracks (dts and ac3) as separate files. Common size ~5GB. ![]() |

The data integrity checker can handle border chunks (because it knows the file format). But if you would import it with a different client it would mark the first and last chunk of some files as missing. |

I do not try to import by other client...
From beginning: I start download. This download cantain: very_big_video_file.Rus.avi, sound_track.Rus.ac3, sound_track.dts, hash_file.md5. I do not need ac3 and dts files. And I uncheck they. Some minutes after I check they back, because full download may increase my ratio on tracker. After download complete I try to check hash: openssl md5 very_big_file.Rus.avi... But result hash do not equals to stored in hash_file.md5. Then I remove download from ktorrent, and import it back. After recheck complete I see that begin and end of download are not loaded. After redownload missing parts I recheck hash, and it also not equal. I get version from svn. In this version present recheck feature. I run it on my broken download and it show me that very_big_file.Rus.avi corrupted at fist ~20 chunks and at last ~25 chunks. And starts redownload automatically. When it completes, I also recheck hash, and it again broken... Recheck found ~25 chunks at beginning, and ~40 at the end... I finish do this useless attepts to download this file... At same time I download 2 separate downloads. And in both I uncheck/check files. And seconds download were same story. |
