Reading Past Edge of Cachefile

Tue Jun 13, 2006 12:28 am
After a little bit of time downloading I get a "Error: Error: Reading past the end of the file /home/raito/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/tor0/cache/Fileintorrent

I am using Kubuntu 6.06, I am doing a partial download (not downloading every file in the torrent). I am also downloading the file onto a windows partition.

How would I fix this problem?

EDIT: I also no longer have the torrent, would redownloading the torrent and reopening it fix the problem? When I downloaded the torrent I just said 'open with Ktorrent' and didn't save it anywhere.

Please post version number of KTorrent
(since develop is going fast and this could already be fixed)

There's always a local torrent-file "torrent" saved in the torX folder, you could backup that in another folder, delete the torrent from gui(not the data!) and use the partial file import plugin to check the data. See if that makes any changes.

I'm using KTorrent 1.2.

Either way, I get the same problem after a while of downloading.

You should upgrade to 2.0beta1 since this problem may already have been solved. Or upgrade to current SVN version - it's pretty stable except some small problems with DHT.

Experiencing the same issue with latest SNV on a seeding torrent.
It's a jpg cover of 193.9 KB.

Strange thing is that is solved itself without my interaction, it just started seeding again(QM..) after another leeching torrent completed.

Another bug for the TODO list it seems. I will take a look at it in a couple of days.
