ok my first problem was i enabled the upnp plugin (although i didnt even kno if i needed it it was just to see if it made a difference) and i was reading about some similar things and the best way to do it is by deleted the /home/cristial/.kde/apps/ ktorrent folder so i did and it worked it finally started up this time but now my problem is after putting a torrent on it (about 3 minutes after fixin it) it closed and gave me this in backtrace

We allready fixed this crash, I believe it was caused when the GeoIP database was missing.

Can you check if the following file is present :

/usr/share/apps/ktorrent/geoip/geoip.dat
or
/usr/local/share/apps/ktorrent/geoip/geoip.dat

It's also possible that it is installed somewhere else, if you type this in a terminal :

which ktorrent

What gets printed out ?
