I'm under an ADSL router that has NAT turned on and firewall disabled. My KTorrent's setting is as follows:

I'm getting extremely slow downloads and I have NO idea why . Any suggestions?

Try increasing the max upload rate, 1 KB/s is really low, if you don't share much, the other peers are going to choke you.
