Downloads going down to zero

Okay.. So I put my kB/s uploading up.. I get good downloads but after a while the download speed gets lower and lower and lower.. what the hell is happening?

You set it higher but how high? I think we can say that one peer should at least have 2 KB download speed, some more KB (more speed but less slots) might even better as it can make the peers you deal with more interested.
My advise: don't put the upload too low (1KB/s is ridicules and will not work, you'd better take 12KB/s as minimum, if you can) and play some with the upload slots setting.

KTorrent 2.0. I made max upload 5 kB/s (I have money problems) and max seeding slots 10. Is that kool?

With that small upload limit I'd put no more than 4-5 upload slots. Ten is way too much IMHO.

10 slots at 5 KB/s, that is 0.5 KB/s per peer, which is not much, the chances that the other side will give you anything is pretty small.
