problems with donloading............ router problems

hey there everyone!!!!!!!!!!! i am having problems downloading with my linksys router up. I have the UPnP plugin but it does not display any port to forward or anything...... any help would be helpful

Run ktupnptest and press the test button. And then post the output here.

You should upgrade to the latest release (2.0.1), the bug is probably allready fixed.

No response it seems, I suggest you try it a couple more times, my router sometimes doesn't respond.

Also I would check your settings, to be sure that UPnP is not disabled on the router.

Sorry about the slow response (moving back to college)....... i disconnected the router and Ktorrent is now running back here at the dorms......... so thanks for all the help

Good to hear it's working :)

Though having a router between you and the internet is generally a safer way of using the internet. Personally i would just use NAT on the router instead. Btw, what router do you have?

NAT= Network address translation, it's just a commonly used method build in routers to forward incoming traffic on a specific port to a internal ip address.

Linksys WRT54G is much in use, KTorrent probably can work with upnp on that device.
