Just upgraded from 1.2 to 2.0 and now plugins aren't working. I go to plugins tab in preferences dialog and no plugins are listed. under 1.2 the plugins worked fine.

any one know whats going on here? (im using mandriva 2006 amd64)

run kbuildsycoca and restart KT, sometimes new plugins are not found immediatly and you have to run kbuildsycoca, or just logout and login again.

I looked at it a little closer and it looks like "make install" installed the plugins to the wrong directory (/usr/lib/kde3). when it should have installed it to /usr/lib64/kde3.

I manually copied the files to /usr/lib64/kde3 and ran kbuildsycoca and now things seem to work fine
