Is there any way to make the tracker update to go off more often...
In upload sector for exp., the torrents dosen't update more often then each half hour. :? Any possebility to get this down to only a minute or two?

In advanced thanks :-)

No, you can do it manually,

The trackers would not like this.

in my version of ktorrent 3.5.1 it actually is one whole hour. i am basically downloading stuff that i cannot find in stores; this implies also very few people being seeders and / or leachers. sometimes there goes one hour with one seeder that does not allow me to download or who gets a score of "-50". so what exactly do you mean by: "The trackers would not like this."?

Rare torrents have a few peers and it's probably no that healthy swarm so you should expect low download rates, it's not uncommon. Peers with score -50 are most probably the ones that are not interested for your upload. You shouldn't worry about score, it's more like a KTorrent internal feature.

And about trackers, what George meant is that *they* set update interval and they don't like manual announces since it increases their server load.

okay, i understand. :) but why worry about server load - offering a torrent should be a binary decision. either they offer something - or not. but i don't have to tell that to you, i guess...
