You can delete this file:
~/.kde/share/config/ktipfilterpluginrc

This file contains IPFilter configuration and by deleting it you'll return everything to default settings (for ipfilter plugin only, offcourse).

But, I'm very curious to see what's triggering that freeze so could you please post the contents of the file mentioned above before you delete it?
I need to see what address did you put and try to reproduce this behavior.

It worked! Thank you. :)
This is the content of the file:

[general]
filterFile=http://fox.phoenixlabs.org/level1.txt
filterURL=http://peerguardian.sourceforge.net/lists/p2p.zip
useFilter=true
useLevel1=true

I used that address because the bluetack one isnt working, found it in the peerguardian forum. I think i misunderstud the instructions for the plugin :(

Ok great. I'll try setting those addresses and see if I can reproduce it.

BTW, address for filterFile is not what good. Actually, filter file is a textual file in so called KTorrent format so that level1.txt simply won't work (or maybe that's what's causing the troubles).
Anyway, seeing that this option is removed in current SVN (won't be available in the next version) I suggest you leave that field blank.

I used that address in the other field and it downloaded and converted ok.
Havent yet checked if it filters, though. :)
Thanks for the help. I guess the txt file in the second field is causing the trouble, and leaving it blank fixed the problem.

Hey, hows it going. Just installed kubuntu, nice nice. installed my usual azureus. Noticed ktorrent. Compared and uninstalled Azureus.

The level1 filter thing is still wrong even with .gz on the end of it. I got some very terse messages from the bluetack.co.uk admin and then bluetack started acting all flakey. I'd imagine it's some overcaffinated child intern obsessing over the logfiles in bluetack. Still he informs me that the level1 file is not available and I've messed up his logfile reading fun. Jesus.

Soo, can you suggest another entry for the level1 file?

Weird. What version are you using? What level1 address did you use?

You know, you can still download the file manually and use it the same way you'd do with URL...

A message will be sent to the log when we refuse a connection from a blocked IP.

You also have a DCOP method to check if specific IP is blocked - bool isBlockedIP(QString ip)
