Hello everybody.Ok 2 more questions:
1.How do i enable DHT?I go to ktorrent's settings and i check use DHT...
then apply or OK.I also forwarded ports for DHT.But DHT is always off.When i go to ktorrent's settings again DHT box is unchecked(??!!!).I do the same again.DHT always off and not checked.Settings for DHT are not applied.
2.HOw do i get message from torrents?What i mean is this.When i used bittorrent and tried to download a torrent from a private tracker i got this message"invalid id response go to www...... andregister"(or something like this) with ktorrent i do not get these mesgs any more.Just invalid response from the tracker.HOw can i see these messages?

1)
I guess you are using SuSE packages of KTorrent right? Apparently, SuSE packagers disabled DHT with their package so you won't be able to use this feature with that package. (Read more about it in another thread here on forums - search for 'DHT always off').

2)
We have changed this in SVN version so the next release will show tracker response in GUI. With versions <= 2.0.2 you can see these messages if you enable LogViewer plugin.

Several people have seen this, but we haven't been able to reproduce it.

Can you post the contents of the following file :
~/.kde/share/config/ktorrentrc

After you enabled it and pressed apply or OK in the settings dialog.

Yes im using suse packages.To be more specific i installed ktorrent from suse dvd and then updated it from Suse kde repositories.In order to have DHT do i have to install ktorrent rpm from your site or from source?I really cant understand why suse keeps fu***ng apps up.I have same problems with other apps too(that are suse editions)
Here is the ~/.kde/share/config/ktorrentrc

For some reason I don't understand, this just doesn't get saved. This is KDE code which does the saving, and I don't know why it screws up.

If you add the lines :
dhtPort=4444
dhtSupport=true

below [downloads]

And you then startup KTorrent, DHT should be running.

Ok i downloaded ktorrent's source to compile an install
When ./configure i get this msg:
checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!

I dont know waht that means.
Anyway i downloaded ktorrent.rpm from guru's website.
Everything works fine now.
DHT is on and working
Thnx for your help

It means you don't have KDE development files. You'll need to install them from YaST as well as some other development packages (X11, libgmp...). Search around the forums there are a few threads explaining this, that is if you still want to compile from source.
