Error : Parse Error

Sun Sep 24, 2006 2:24 am
That is the error I get in my log window every now and then. I've played around with the log settings and I determaned that it's coming from the tracker part of ktorrent. I know this because I turned off the log for every thing but the tracker.

Any way, what does that error mean?

That just means that the tracker sends stuff which is malformed in some form. Which version do you use? Can you post the tracker/torrent?

There was a patch in svn because a tracker send malformed stuff. This patch should be in the next version of ktorrent. If you want try you can install the svn version or wait for the next version.

I updated KTorrent with Smart on SUSE 10.0. I used the KDE repository that opensuse has for updating KDE and it's programs.

I don't remember the "exact" version I was using but it was the one from the Guru repository. The thing now is DHT isn't working any more. Which I all ready know it has to do with politics and that it was disabled on purpose. The version I was using from Guru had DHT working. So now I'm a little annoyed.
