Just tried 2.0.3 and I'm afraid download is as slow as with 2.0.2. KTorrent barely manages to touch 10 kb/sec. I've tried other clients too (azureus, mainline, even μtorrent under wine) and the same torrent with the exact same settings hit over 35 kb/sec on all of them. No problem with uploading, though.

I am running Ubuntu Dapper and I've compiled from source (tried the precompiled too, no luck).

hi,

I'm new to this forum, so please excuse me if I'm doing anything wrong. I tried to switch from Azureus to Ktorrent like a week ago, but as some other people here, I'm having download speed problems (upload can go up to 70k/sec).

these speed torrent only seems to affect torrent imported from azureus (as there are already a lot of files transfered and I didn't want to download them again...). i tried with a new torrent (different than the ones from azureus) and the speed was ok (700 Mb in 2 hours). Does anyone noticed the same behaviour? Do you need any info from me to be able to help me with this issue?

Ktorrent version tried : 2.0.2 and 2.0.3

I experience the same slow downloads problem with KT 2.0.3

I should have a speed limit of 250kb/sec but KT is barely reaching 70kb/sec even with very high active seeder and leecher connections (> 100). Also i think its very jumpy as if its rapidly adding and closing connections. It shows me current download speeds of 10-70kb in short periods with fast jumpes up and down.

I am behind a firewall, ports are forwarded though. i have remapped the default BT ports of 69whatever to 52xx, because my roomie uses the default BT setup.
