Just a quick announcement, since Edgy's beta freeze has lifted, we've been able to update Dapper's KTorrent package to 2.0.2, from 2.0.1. These packages are packaged the same way that the original Ubuntu KTorrent packages are packaged, which means they will behave better on Ubuntu/KUbuntu systems than checkinstalled packages (i.e. what's currently offered on ktorrent.org).


If you are using Dapper, you may either get the packages through the dapper-backports repository, or if you don't want to add that repository, from packages.ubuntu.com: http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper-backp ... t/ktorrent

BTW, we are considering 2.0.3 release which will include the latest speed fix so keep in touch.

Sure, I am a good contact point for Ubuntu packaging of ktorrent. I take great interest in this app, as it is (in my opinion) Ubuntu's most compelling Bittorrent client offering.
