Odd logfile entries...

Thu Oct 12, 2006 1:38 am
I've been following ktorrent for awhile, and 2.0.3 is the most usefull one yet, but I feel something ODD is going on, there are a lot of messages in the log, and I don't know if they are important or not, as a search of these forums and on google revals nothing usefull:

Code: Select all
Authentication to 85.17.65.14 : failure
Timeout occurred
Authentication to 85.17.65.14 : failure
Timeout occurred
Authentication to 85.17.65.14 : failure
Timeout occurred
Authentication to 85.17.42.209 : failure
Authentication(S) to 24.37.13.192 : failure
IP 0.0.0.0 is blacklisted. Connection denied.
Authentication(S) to 222.250.126.7 : failure
Authentication(S) to 0.0.0.0 : failure
DHT: got getPeers request
ret != len
Authentication(S) to 0.0.0.0 : failure
ret != len
IP 0.0.0.0 is blacklisted. Connection denied.

I'm not sure what the 0.0.0.0 ip lines refer to, but I'm sure thats not important. the ret != len appars alot, an the authentication failures are filling my log. its over 10mb!..?

Am I overlooking something?

Thanks in advance.

Your log file is pretty much normal so there's nothing to worry about.
Authentication failures are common and they happen for a lots of reasons (other peer has closed ports when you try to establish a connection, that's one example). Though, if you're having *lots* of these, it could indicate some problem...

About 'ret != len', it's a debug message and I cannot remember what it refers to at the moment. I'm sure George will know better.
