Not a single azureus peer, with or without encryption

I'm currently downloading needed libs to compile 2.03, but have been watching a torrent with nearly 200 peers. When it starts azureus connections are made, but after an hour there are only uTorrent, Ktorrent, and Bitcomet peers.
I assume I am getting banned for what looks like multiple 'authentication failures' in the log. I'll turn logging back on and post one if compiling 2.03 doesn't help.

I'm not simply whining, want to offer any help I can and find out if it's fixable! It's great to be using something other than AZ on this machine...but I still need them as peers

Maybe this will make sense to somebody...
Suddenly I have tons of azureus peers. In the process of (preparing to) compile, I apt-got these libs:

libcupsys2-dev libgcrypt11-dev libgnutls-dev libgpg-error-dev liblcms1-dev
liblzo-dev libmng-dev libopencdk8-dev libpopt-dev libqt3-headers
libqt3-mt-dev libtasn1-3-dev libxmu-dev libxmu-headers libqt3-compat-headers

and after over 6 hours of observing 0 azureus peers, there are suddenly around 15. :D

I'm still watching tons of 'authentication failures' - how normal is this? And why in the world would installing the kde headers and libraries require me to uninstall ktorrent? It's getting a little sloppy at this point, it also wants me to uninstall XFCE, which aint gonna happen.

Maybe for another thread, but the per-torrent ratio limiter has no effect. Transferred up: 441.7 MB / down: 253.5 MB....I've had it set to 1.0 ratio the entire time.

after a day's worth of trying to get this to work without killing XFCE, I gave utorrent under wine a shot again.
Good luck on a great project.

Why do you need to compile KTorrent 2.0.3 on a Ubuntu system? Packages are available from dapper-backports.
