Hi,

I just built myself a new PC and I want to install SUSE 10.1 on it and turn my old system into a web server. Now my problem with this is that I'm seeding 4 files here on my old system and I want to continue seeding them on my new system using latest self compiled version of KT. My question is:

- How do I move those torrents from my old system to my new system?

I once deleted a seed and wanted to reseed it so I opened the torrent file but instead of going into the 'Upload' area it went to the 'Download' area. Should I just copy /home/my_username/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent to the new system or what?

Depends.
If you want to take the stats with you, you can
$ tar -czvvf torX.tar.gz /torX-folder the /home/microchip/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/torX folder and put it in the configured KTorrent temp folder of the new computer.
But if the system paths are different, this will break. Then you should probably just import the torrents with the torrent-files(or open them on the correct data save location). This works just as fine, the only difference is that you will lose the(local) stats.

Well, my new machine will be configured exactly as the old one (the same user name, the same partitioning....) so I guess I'll just copy the configs from the old disk to the new disk

thanks for the reply
