KTorrent is running but no GUI

Wed Nov 15, 2006 11:31 pm
Hi,

I'm running KTorrent on Ubuntu/Gnome. First time I ran it, worked just fine and I was very happy with it. However, after I rebooted my computer, KTorrent is loading up on startup (I think) but it's proving difficult to get the GUI up. I know it's downloading stuff cos my downloads are well, downloading, but, like I said, I have no window.

Any help greatly appreciated

Maybe you have enabled tray icon. Double click on it.

I've seen this on some GNOME systems. You need to start "kdeinit" before running KTorrent, else the tray icon pops up in some random location on the screen, and is unclickable on the first laungh.

Use GNOME's sessions settings to start kdeinit on login, and before any KTorrents start.
