won't open, high memory usage

Mon Nov 20, 2006 4:52 pm
KTorrent opens fine when i have no loaded torrents but if i have a few open it comes up with a bunch of messages saying,
"You are already downloading this torrent, the list of trackers of both torrents has been merged."
After clicking ok to all of these KTorrent just sits there using up about 300mb of memory, i thought this might just be it starting up all the torrents but i left it through the day for about 6hrs and still no change.
Any idea what's going on?

TIA

ok, i've investigated a little bit more and found that it isn't all the torrents it locks up on, by moving the torX folders around i've found that it is only the ones with a cache folder and a dnd folder inside them, these appear to be the ones where i have opted only download some of the files in the torrent.

also it appears to have nothing to do with the "You are already downloading this torrent, the list of trackers of both torrents has been merged." messages so ignore that.

Anyone know why the partial downloads are locking it up?

What version are you using ? You should only get that message when you try to open a torrent you are allready downloading.

i'm using 2.0.3, i think that message is because some of the torX folders are duplicated but i don't think that's the problem, it's the torX folders with cache and dnd folders in that seem to be the problem.
