Hello, first of all, I would like to thank the development team for this program. Im been using linux for the last 3 months and I love it
![]() Im from Argentina, my english is not the best, so Im lettin u know my problem through a screenshot. ![]() Look at the top of my desktop, there's a bw monitor for the system, then look at the bottom in the ktorrent's window, and you'll see the diferences, why is that? In the 2.0.3 version this is not happening, I succesfully test that. Sometimes there are peaks of 150kb/s and I am only downloading (ktorrent's thinking) at 15kb/s Note that this is not happening with the upload rates. I correctly compiled ktorrent from source with this file ktorrent-2.1beta1.tar.gz. I am running debian 2.6.18-k7 (sid) gnome 2.4.3. PD: sorry for my horrible english, I understand what u say, but I am horrible talking ![]() |

thank you very much for the answer, i see that my english was enough to comunicate with you
![]() i think that it may be the chatting between me and the other peers, but its too much. it seems that after 2 hours this rates stabilizes. another question : what is 'choked' and 'snubbed' ? Thanks |

Choked means the peer hasn't given you an upload slot and you cannot download from him at the moment. He's "choking" you. You're doing the same thing -> peers that are ticked in "Upload slot" column have your upload slot and the rest are choked.
Snubbed means that the peer hasn't sent you a piece for more than 60 secs. You should read some docs on BitTorrent protocol (wikies are fine) if you want to know details about these things. |

I have a feeling that this is the scrape bug, this is solved in the current development version, you should try the latest snapshot :
