Hello
I was wondering what the best way to upgrade to the newest version of Ktorrent without loosing any of the progress in currently donwloading torrents? Do i just install the new one, or how? The problem i am looking to solve with the update is that whenever there is more than 30 torrents (about 30) in Ktorrent. Not active but just in the lists. Then i can delete them, without ktorrent locks up and i have to shut it down with the skull. It's running on SuSE 10.1 and i have installed a newer version than the one that is installed with SuSE |

Thanks for the reply, but I have just found out (after i got home to the machine), that I am already running the lastest version.
I cant figure out what i wrong, it also locks up when it is just running. The GUI looks like a background simplyfied image of itself. The torrents are still running in the background (there is plenty of activity on the outside interface) . But after a while that stops to. Haven't the slightest idea what's wrong. |

Screenshot: I can when i get the machine startet again.
Ktorrent locks when i try to do anything with any one of the torrents. stop it, remove it or start it. The program locks exactly when i press the button, because the button never comes back out. If i then minimize ktorrent (or bring another program in front of it), all the content of the window disappear. That means buttons, menu's, torrents, sliders and any text. I have only seen this when i have had more than 20 or so torrents in the lists. Is there any way to bring op some kind of log or status display? This way i might be able to help you help me ![]() I am not that good at linux yet, so it might be something that most other people here take for granted that i have tried. Also how do i change Ktorrent in to the CLI version? It might be more informative? |

Now I dont understand anything (so what's changed?). I activated the Log plugin to be able to give you guys some better info, and the program locked up when i pressed OK to activate the plugin, but when i brought up Ktorrent again, the problem was gone!
I have deleted several torrents, and the program has been running since my last post and have not broken down. Before it was not abl to run more than one hour or so. I think all the problem occured when trying to alter in the lists. The program would lock up and be terminated when a torrent was finished and it tried to move it from one list to another. Well, it works, and I am happy ![]() I will return if I experience the problem again. Thanks for your time so far ![]() |
