Can't download in Ktorrent.

Wed Jan 24, 2007 3:25 pm
I have just installed Kubuntu, and i want to download some torrents. I've loaded a torrent in Ktorrent, but it won't download. It doesn't find any seeders/leechers at all. I haven't installed any firewall.
What can I do, to make this work?

Some torrents are dead (meaning that they don't have any seeds or leachers) - you might check whether a torrent, which you know to be having some seeds, downloads.

I forgot to mention, that I'm downloading from a private tracker. The torrent I've loaded, has got lots of seeders, allthough I can't see them in Ktorrent. I tried downloading a torrent from a linuxtracker and it worked fine, but it still won't leech from that private tracker.

Perhaps, by chance, this tracker has banned ktorrent?

What is the name of this tracker?

You should be able to see some more information by enabling logviewer plugin.

The tracker is Fileporn.org
Ktorrent isn't banned from the site.

This is from the log. :

Enable tracker logs, right click on a torrent and do a manual announce - then see whether there is anything interesting.

Have you tried in different programs?

I've installed Azerues, but it won't start. The program starts loading, and then disapears.
I'm using another bittorrent client now, so I guess I'll be heading to the azereus supportforum now, thanks for the help ;)
