I am trying to switch from Azureus to KTorrent because of az's high cpu and memory requirements. After using ktorrent for a day I am happy with it's download speed, just as fast as any other client I have used, but the upload speed is abysmal. My connection is 2048/256, so I set my upload speed cap to 20KB/s in ktorrent, a sensible maximum that has worked elsewhere, but ktorrent is uploading almost nothing. Tens of kilobytes per hour, at best. When I manually check a torrent marked as Seeding, I see myself connected to zero peers usually, one at most, and usually no upload speed to that one.
My limits are as follows: max downloads = 3 max seeds = 3 max connections per = 80 global connection limit = 400 max upload = 20 max download = 0 port = 6881 udp port = 4444 upload slots = 4 share ration = 3 and I am using ktorrent 2.1rc1 installed from the ubuntu feisty package. any help would be appreciated. |

This should have been fixed in 2.1, maybe you are connected to superseeders ? What do you see in the requests field of the list of peers ? |
