ktorrent had one of these problems again and i just intended to click on "start" again. suddenly my notebook started calculating as if i ran a new and heavy application. this did not stop and the machine slowed down to a level that can be called "unusable". it took some minutes to close ktorrent, some more minutes to go on restart. suse 10.1 was still very slow after restart, so i decided to turn it off manually (button). restarting half an hour later would result in an os too slow to start firefox, barely managing to run "sysinfo" in konqueror.

what kind of error might this be? and - important - how do i make my computer work again? i run xp now, not my favourite. and i have all my data on partitions i cannot access.

This looks like the sessionmanager restarted ktorrent after the reboot. If you manage to get to a shell, try to run killall ktorrent.

that is very weird since ktorrent usually not starts with the session manager (i don't know the reason). after 6 hours of calculating everything seems fine again. but in this period, the notebook was completely unusable. a little bit scaring...
