I lost all my data :/

Sun Feb 25, 2007 10:37 am
I switched from bittornado to ktorrent, opened the .torrent, saved in the old directory, and I lost everything except one file which was completed and a few others which was about 2-3 %. All that were more than 50 % have been rewrited ! (5 days of download lost :/)
It's not a complaint but please add this to your FAQ. Or make a doc.

Please update to 2.1, auto import has been implemented for a very long time now.

I'd rather use the version of my distribution, it's 2.0.3, do you think it's a good choice ?
I didn't try with 2.1, but I know that if a file has a size of X Mo, bittornado does not create a file of X Mo, unlike ktorrent. Files with bittornado are filled in progressively, maybe it's the reason why I lost my data ? or 2.1 version can manage this ?

Even 2.0.3 will auto import, if KT can find files which are part of the torrent it will scan those for data. If doesn't find files, it will create new files.
