Seeding from removable media

Wed Mar 07, 2007 1:53 pm
Hi,

is it possible to seed from removable media (CD-ROM, DVD-ROM) with KTorrent 2.0.2? If so, how can it be done?
Another question: i've downloaded a DVD from a torrent and later i got an md5 sum file. Is it possible to seed the DVD if the md5 sum file is in the same folder?

Thanks,

Roblov.

I don't think this is possible, currently we open everything for reading and writing, this will cause problems with read-only media.

However this will be fixed in 2.2.

Concerning your second question, if the md5sum is not part of the torrent, KT will just ignore it.

Thanks, you've given me two precise answers.
