Hi,

whenever I run ktorrent and chose IP blocking filter in settings and press Downlooad/Convert it says: The file or folder http://www.btack.info/splist.zip does not exist. Any ideas?

Thank you.

It indeed was so yesterday, but seems to work correctly now.

Do you know if their IP changed? I still can't connect but my DNS is notoriously slow to update.

I have no idea whether it changed.
Code: Select all
btack.info.             10800   IN      A       82.165.138.54

-edit-

Hym, I have "http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/splist.zip" in address field, not btack (as Lisa stated).

I also have http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/splist.zip for the file URL.

The IP I'm getting for www.bluetack.co.uk is 67.18.178.4 though.

Getting the same IP for bluetack.co.uk - and it works well.

Must be a routing issue. Traceroutes seem to die for me at 67.18.116.69. I'll just try it again later, it's probably temporary.

IP filtering

Sat Mar 17, 2007 10:18 pm
It seems to have copied the file.

But how can I make sure IP filtering is working?

Thanks

This command doesnt show me anything.

All I see in the file called LOG is:

Sun Mar 18 10:54:14 2007: Loading Anti-P2P filter...
Sun Mar 18 10:54:14 2007: AntiP2P header loaded.
Sun Mar 18 10:54:14 2007: IP 0.0.0.0 banned.
Sun Mar 18 10:54:14 2007: File limit allready at maximum
Sun Mar 18 10:54:14 2007: Data limit allready at maximum
Sun Mar 18 10:54:35 2007: SynchronousWait
Sun Mar 18 10:54:36 2007: Anti-P2P filter unloaded.

Any other ideas please?

There's the "Anti-P2P Filter loaded" line. It should also say "Loaded and running" in the window where you download/convert the file.

To make sure ultimately, you have to start downloading and watch those "IP X is blacklisted" messages in logs.

Hi Lucke,

I found a file called level1.txt that is filled with about 5.7MB of IPs.

Its in /.kde/share/apps/ktorrent folder.

Is that the one?

I think level1.txt is the downloaded one and level1.dat is the converted one.

level1.txt is downloaded file and level1.dat is converted, the one we use.

But, I'm more concerned about the line in your log saying "AntiP2P unloaded". Why does it happen? Try to convert the file again and post me relevant parts from your log while converting. Go to IPFilter settings, click on 'download' but when asked to download file choose 'no'. That will display another message box asking you to convert the file again. Do that.

how much time does it typically take to convert the file, I am using ktorrent 2.1 on fiesty ubuntu & it takes in-ordinate time :(
