Create torrent with no tracker

Mon Mar 19, 2007 11:40 am
Is it possible or not and how can I do it? I just need to create torrent first and then get public tracker for it.
And in other torrent programs it is possible so how is it in KTorrent?
Thank you.

It's not possible at the moment. You'll have to add at least one tracker.

Why not find the public tracker first and then create torrent?

Thank you, I'll try this.
By the way, can i add something weird like any word and then just add another tracker?

Well, that would probably cause some troubles on some clients. Better idea is to create decentralized torrent and insert your IP/Port as known node.

But, I'm still not sure why you want to do this since that torrent won't be usable to other people unless they manually add tracker too. You know, added trackers are used internally by KTorrent, they are not added to torrent file.
