"Cannot find PeerManager for hash "

Thu Mar 22, 2007 12:20 am
The last couple days, this shows up in my log files often, some times with more than one hash number.

Cannot find PeerManager for hash : 4cd42728527b635f76e9b7bc5e8f1b6726d34871

Is this a problem that can easily be fixed and if so how?

thanks again,

joe (ktorrent 2.2dev)

I wouldn't be so concerned about this. You get this message when a peer tries to connect to you on a specific torrent (torrents are identified by 'hash').

There are lots of reasons why you get this message, like for example, you had a running torrent for some time, you've removed it and some peers are still unaware of that. DHT could probably be one reason for that.

Hope you get the picture.

However, if you get LOTS of these than you could something is wrong but I don't think that would happen.

Thanks Ivan, I have been making room on the drive by removing torrents and their associated data - some of these have been seeding for weeks.
