ktorrent 2.1.2 crashes on startup

Thu Mar 29, 2007 9:15 pm
Hi,
I know, there are other posts about that kind of problem, but I didn't found solution for me...

Well, I have Aurox 12 and lately I have installed ktorrent 2.1.2 for fc5 - ktorrent-2.1.2-2.fc5.i386.rpm. I worked fine until I erased one torrent.
I that moment ktorrent crashed and now it crash on startup.

I found in log that it is loading torrents, then tries to connect and this is it.

This is backtrace:
(no debugging symbols found)
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1".

`shared object read from target memory' has disappeared; keeping its symbols.

Solved

Ok. I have solved my own problem :D
Sometimes it good to sleep with problem....

I can't find any documentation for ktorrent. Pity...
Last night I have thought about way, how ktorrent is building a list of torrents to download. And after analyze a log I assumed that it just scans folder ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent for folders named torXX. There are files looking just like parameters ...
So, today morning I moved all torXX folders to another folder, and tried to start ktorrent. It worked !! It started ok, without any torrent configured to download. So, I moved tors back one after another and tried to start ktorrent. Worked just fine - ktorrent started ok with opened restored torrents.
And finally I found one which made ktorrent crash.
So, this one torXX I have deleted, then opened torrent file again and started download to the same folder.
KTorrent even found previous download files, and scanned them. So I didn't lost even this one progress.

Have a nice day everyone. My is nice already :D
