Ktorrent's webui php problem?

Mon Apr 02, 2007 8:45 am
For some reason Ktorrent's webui doesn't think /usr/bin/php is the php executable path (it shows a red light and upon mousing over it tells me it's not the php executable path), when it is in fact the php executable path on my system.

The webui even works for that matter, except it'll cause ktorrent to crash after a short while, so I suspect it's this php issue that's causing all the problems. Any clue why this is happening?

P.S. Yes, I have php5 installed, I did a search and everyone else who seems to have had this problem didn't seem to have php, but I even went ahead and removed and reinstalled php. *sigh*

Do you have the proper permissions to execute /usr/bin/php ?

I have never been able to get that red light to change to green.

I installed .php via my repository (PCLOS '07 TR3) and the WebUI works seemlessly.

Come on back if the problems persist.

I had the same problem, but it solved.

Tipp:
Try to intall php first! Than uninstall Ktorrent, delete the config files from /home dir (somewere in kde subdir) and then install Ktorrent again. Maybe it will find automaticly. If not, try 2.1 first. Run once, bud dont del config files. Then 2.13 install. I did this game and works fine. (exept .torrent upload :( )

Found it, thanks Ivan, it was already installed, I was looking for the directory in usr/lib/php, not the executable in /usr/bin/!
