ipfilter

Wed May 02, 2007 11:44 am
whenever i try to convert an ipfilter list, it messes up at 80%.
Could not load filter: Bad filter file. It May be corrupted or has a bad format.

i tried official peerguardian's url for p2p, downloaded level1 from bluetack and all the lists i have on peerguardian in windows. always gets stuck at 80%.

also, can ktorrent get support for multiple ipfilters?

(ktorrent 2.1 / Ubuntu 7.04 / Gnome)

---

also another "bug" is, when you maximize the window, click close (to minimize to tray), and then open it up again. it opens up not maximized. quite annoying.

Post relevant lines (converting part) from your log file at ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/log

Also post links to the files you're trying to convert so I can try them.

You can't use this links directly in KT. First one is not even a direct link to the file. Second one is 7z file and I'm not sure we support it.

Try manually downloading these files, unpack and try to load/convert them in KTorrent. Then post your log again if you have troubles.

seems like when extracted, it works. so are you planning to add link, multi-filter and .7z support?

because I still usually boot into windows to download something illegal because of peerguardian. i know moblock exists but its too confusing for me. if ktorrent supported peerguardian's links (peerguardian.sourceforge.net/lists/*) and autoupdated, that would just be awesome =D

after leaving the pc alone for 30 min, ktorrent froze. i imported the ipfilter from bluetack (extracted). heres the log [http://ssd.sc47.info/Random/log_Thursday,%20May%2003%202007.tar.gz]

Currently we don't have plans to add support for 7z.
As for multiple filters, it's very hard to do with current architecture but maybe we can do something after KDE4 port.

Sorry to jump in on this topic
But doesn't KT by default have : http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/splist.zip
in the IP filter file section

It downloaded and converted for me.
The first time I did it, it took some time -20mins or so

Every so often I run it again
It ask if I want to download again as the file already exists
But it all just takes a few moments.
So I assume its working fine

using:
KDE: 3.5.6 "release 77.1"
KTorrent: 2.1.4
