I have a strange problem: since a couple of days, Ktorrent uses insane amount of CPU resources... even with the CPU usage setting set to low.

CPU usage is constantly over 90%, and working with ktorrent (adding a new torrent, or even just switching to it) is extremely slow. I tired disabling plugins, tried with different torrents, same problem.

Anyone else experiencing this too?

Try put refresh interval to 5s, put memory limit to medium if you have enough memroy, try limit the number of connection.

After that try not have too much download in parallel and avoid keep partition at more that 80% of full.

The infowidgetplugin also takes a lot of CPU resources.

We still have to optimize things for 2.2, I should get to that in the next week.
