I have been using Bittorrent (my first torrent client) which crawls along at a snails pace. I want to import my existing downloads in progress and also my finished downloads to share in ktorrent. I have enabled the plugin.

The import window is asking for two pathes: torrent and data
I have located the .bittorrent folder. How can I recognize the two different types of files for each download that the import window is asking for? (I am assuming that I must locate each separate file and import them one at a time...)

For example, I tried entering using the built in browser:

For Torrent: /home/lucky/.bittorrent/data/torrents/421186e74b958aa3b8d5fa778523c864710e6e4d
(But I have to change the filter from "torrents" to "all files" to see it on the
built in browser.)

and

For Data:
/home/lucky/.bittorrent/incomplete/421186e7-7a73
(I am pretty sure that is the data file as it has 3.5 gig in it.)

Then I hit OK and get a Error Window that says:

Can not load the torrent file: illegal token:)

Bittorrent stores it's data by default in a Folder on your desktop, I would look there for the data.

As for the torrent, I don't know where they store it.

Thanks George. But the example I showed above was from the bittorrent storage folder called .bittorrent .

I have moved up to ktorrent 2.1.4 . ktorrent is so fast compared to what I was getting with bittorrent that it will only be a matter of a couple of days for me to catch up with where I was at in bittorrent which had taken me over a month to get. So, I'm not going to worry about trying to import my partial files, although when you guys get around to writing the instruction manual I will be very curious to see what I was doing wrong! HA! :D :D :D

I really like ktorrent! Great Job!
