I was already able to setup ktorrent webgui by loading the webgui plug-in and installing php5-cli on my machine.

I was able to access and login to ktorrent webgui by typing http://localhost:8080/ on my web browser.

My problem though is when I tried accessing the webgui using my WAN IP, I keep on getting an error telling me that I could not connect to the host.

Do I need to configure or install anything else aside from php5-cli inorder to make my ktorrent accessible from the internet?

Btw, I don't know if this is relevant but my machine doesn't have a web server installed. But from what I have read in one of the posts here, the plug-in has its own httpd server so a web server is not needed.

Appreciate any help that I can get.

Thanks.

Maybe you are behind a router. If so you must forward the webinterface port.
You should use upnp plugin and than enable forward port in webinterface options.

bye

unzip;strip;touch;finger;mount;fsck;more;yes;umount;sleep

thanks for the help bro. when you mentioned using the upnp plug-in and enabling port forwarding of the webgui, i decided to check the local ip addr that I was using for my machine and found out that i forwarded port 8080 to the wrong ip addr.

made the necessary corrections and got the webgui to work using my WAN IP.
