KTorrent stops entire house's internet after a while

I'm running Ktorrent on Ubuntu Feisty, and after 15-30 minutes or so of downloading, the entire house's internet goes out. Connections to the router are lost, and I have to reboot my Ubuntu machine to reconnect to the wireless network. I've limited my upload, my download, and connections, and port forwarded. I'm on Verizon FIOS, with their ActionTec MI424-WR router.

Usually it's a **** router.

Alright, I'll try replacing the default Verizon Actiontec MI424 WR with my Linksys WRT54G.
