Limit ignored?

Mon Jun 25, 2007 11:02 am
My maximum upload/download rate is set to 15kbps, however, right now I'm downloading at 54kbps, and have seen it go to as high as 160kbps. I'm sharing one broadband connection with two other computers so I need to limit the throughput here.

That's a pretty old version, looking at the pref dialog.

I suggest you upgrade to 2.2rc1

Yes, it did turn out to be an old version, 1.2. I installed from the Ubuntu repositories originally. I downloaded the .deb and upgraded and now it still goes over, but only slightly, which is anticipated (i.e. between 15kbps and 15.4kbps). Is there something I need to add to my repos to keep my ktorrent up to date?
