Hello.

I am using KTorrent on Kubuntu Feisty.

I noticed a few days ago that I could not start any new torrents. They all remained with stalled status and no connections to seeds or peers were made.

I then noticed that the trackers were all getting errors. And it wasn't just on new torrents, but also on the ones downloading. The tracker status for all trackers is something like:

"Error : The file or folder http://tracker.torrent.to:2710/announce ... 5%09%ab%81 does not exist."

The search plugin is giving similar errors, with any search engine:

"The file or folder http://isohunt.com/torrents.php?ihq=kubuntu&op=and does not exist."
"The file or folder http://www.ktorrents.com/search.php?lg= ... ubuntu&f=0 does not exist."

I was using at first version 2.1.4, but upgraded today to 2.2rc1. The problem persists.

I am sure the torrents/trackers are ok, because using other torrent clients they work. But I like KTorrent and I would rather be using it :D

Thanks for any help you could give me.

Can you still surf the web with konqueror ?

The search plugin is nothing more then a KHTML part embedded in ktorrent. So if this is failing in KT, then it should also not work in konqueror.

Tracker announces are done with KIO, which is also used by konqueror to get webpages.

Thanks for the fast reply.

You are right, konqueror is giving the same error message. I'll try to find a fix for konqueror.
